Zero carbon, zero waste future

Community Connections is dedicated to reducing the impact of the carbon we use as an organisation and to assisting the people we support, their communities and staff to lessen our impact on our whenua. We aim to be carbon neutral by 2025.

Health and support services do not get encouraged to reduce their carbon footprint, so we are proud that our organisation is an industry leader in our carbon reduction initiatives

In support

We promote remote training for staff, offer remote assistance, encourage carbon reduction, affordable healthy food options, and community engagement through clean-ups. We prioritise local support to minimise transportation impact.

Our staff

Our staff can engage in green initiatives through a dedicated Green Team. Our offices promote recycling We have an ethical procurement policy, and offer an e-bike scheme, along with wellness events for employees.

Carbon offset

Given our involvement in remote communities, necessary car transport is offset through tree planting and community collaboration. The majority of our fleet consists of hybrid vehicles, demonstrating our commitment to environmental responsibility.
