Everyday Networks
Peer support in action
We provide peer support groups that celebrate diversity, focus on people’s strengths, build capacity and confidence, and utilise natural networks.
What is a network group?
Everyday Networks are groups of around nine people who choose to come together and support each other, make contributions to each other’s lives and to the wider community.
What is the focus of a network group?
You’ll share your experience, ideas, skills and abilities. You’ll offer advice, and support other’s dreams and goals. You’ll look out for each other, have fun, and learn about your community together.
How often does the group meet?
Most groups catch up weekly and discuss activities to do together during the week; or to plan and organise larger activities throughout the year.
Who helps out?
Your group chooses a facilitator – a Community Connections staff member who can support the group and will encourage you to utilise your skills and connections
