About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a varied role with a strong operational and project focus. You will provide support across key finance functions, including bank reconciliations, invoicing, accounts payable, tax returns, payroll support, and finance projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both day-to-day finance delivery and continuous improvement work.
This position can be based in Kapiti or Wellington. If Wellington-based, the successful candidate will be expected to commute to our Kapiti office twice per week, with support provided toward travel expenses.
What you will bring
We are looking for an experienced and adaptable finance professional to step into a key fixed-term role, providing broad support across our finance function while covering maternity leave until 31 January 2027.
To be considered for this position, you will need the following qualifications and experience:
Essential
- At least 5 years accounting experience in different organisations
- Experience in all levels of Finance duties – from processing receipts to costings to business partnering with operational staff
- Experience of different Finance Systems and proficient in excel and Google sheets and other Microsoft/Google packages
- Qualified by experience or studying towards Accountancy Qualification
- Open to AI and process improvements
- Experience in dynamic organisations
- Understanding of GST and tax compliance
Desirable
- Knowledge of Xero
- Knowledge of the reporting tool Fathom
